Our lessons follow relevant CEFR skills while allowing the teacher to adjust practice, feedback and pace. Dates and lesson times are arranged individually, subject to teacher availability.

Private Lessons as Support for Group Courses

Some learners combine individual revision with our Intensive Greek Courses or Superintensive Greek Courses. Private sessions can target concepts requiring extra practice or help a learner prepare to enter a suitable long-term group that has already started. Group admission is subject to available places and the learner's current level; private catch-up lessons are arranged separately.

All enrolled Philoxenia students have free access to Babylonia Language Lab, a supplementary digital learning resource. We may also suggest appropriate independent revision based on the language covered in class. Required textbooks are purchased separately.

Can private lessons help me join a group course that has already started?

Yes, when suitable. We can use separately arranged private lessons to help you cover material missed before joining an existing group. Entry into the group depends on your readiness and whether the group is still available; we do not charge for group lessons held before you join.

Can I book lessons for a specific situation, such as a job interview or a medical appointment?

Yes. Tell us the situation and the Greek expressions or skills you need. We can build focused practice around realistic dialogues, vocabulary and listening tasks, while keeping expectations proportionate to the number of lessons.

What information should I send before my first lesson?

Do I need to buy a textbook, and can I practise between lessons?

Textbooks are purchased separately when required; we will advise you about appropriate materials. Enrolled Philoxenia students have free access to Babylonia Language Lab for supplementary practice.

Can I combine one-to-one lessons with Intensive or Superintensive group classes?
